It’s been very snowy up the hills, as this view of Hebden’s Bridge will attest. But we’ve stoking the fires of creativity at Rogue Robot, even if we haven’t been stoking the blog with posts for a while!
The big news first is that at the end of the year a film we produced for Weaver Vale Housing Trust won an award!
The 2012 Northern Silver Screen competition saw a collaboration with The Prince’s Trust to create a collection of films which demonstrate the work being undertaken within the Northern Housing Consortium membership in relation to young people.
The film was made in conjunction with the residents of Cotswold House and won in the Youth Education category.

We’ve been regularly visiting London to shoot a series of interview videos for AXA, using a fantastic Canon C300 camera, teamed with a Canon 5d MkIII to produce some beautiful HD images.
We’ve also completed a re edit of a video for VISA to promote their sponsorship of FIFA 2014 in Brazil. We produced the first edit towards the end of last year, and then were asked to insert some new motion graphics showing credit cards and marketing materials. Despite working with a client in San Francisco (and an 8 hour time delay!) we got the work done on time and to the complete satisfaction of the client.
We have also just finished a reedit of a video supplied by Specsavers. Again, they wanted the existing video, shot on a recent training day, bringing to life with motion graphics, titles and photo montages, and we were more than happy to help, utilising the fantastic Element3D in AfterEffects to create some great looking images.
Our great friends at LAS Manchester are celebrating 21 years of business so we made them a little animation to promote the occasion.
February sees us working on a logo animation for web hosters Native Space, videos for Weaver Vale Housing Trust, and a new showreel highlighting out conference and event work.
